2026年2月6日，成都医学院大健康与智能工程学院教师赵雯曦作为第一作者，在国际学术期刊《Applied Economics》（JCR二区杂志，IF 2.1）上发表题为“ Can improved community-based elderly care services reduce fall risks among disabled older adults? evidence from China”的研究论文。

该论文利用中国健康与养老追踪调查（CHARLS）2011年至2020年的面板数据，采用双重差分法（DID），探讨社区居家养老服务改善如何影响失能老人的跌倒风险，并揭示其潜在机制。实证结果表明，通过日常生活照料优化和健康管理优化，社区居家养老服务改善显著降低了失能老人跌倒风险。异质性分析进一步表明，这种积极影响在不与子女同住的老年人和居住在农村地区的老年人中更为显著。这些发现表明，政策制定者应更加重视照护服务不足或缺失对跌倒风险的负面影响，继续推进社区医养结合，并加强“软性”服务支持，以降低老年人因健康和日常活动引发的跌倒风险。

摘要：

As the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related deaths worldwide, falls represent a critical public health concern for governments, societies, and academic communities alike. Using panel data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) covering 2011 to 2020, this study employs a difference-in-differences (DID) model to examine how improvements in home and community-based care services influence fall risks among disabled older adults and to uncover the underlying mechanisms. The empirical results indicate that the improvement of these services significantly lowers fall risks, primarily through the optimization of daily living assistance and the enhancement of health management. Heterogeneity analyses further show that the positive effects are more pronounced among older adults not living with their children and those residing in rural areas. These findings suggest that policymakers should pay greater attention to the negative consequences of unmet or insufficient care services on fall risks, continue to advance the integration of medical and elderly care within communities, and strengthen ‘soft’ service support to buffer health- and activity-related fall risks among older adults.
